Trish is originally from El Dorado Hills. She graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Biological Science and then moved to Texas and earned her master’s degree in Education. She has five children, four boys and one girl. Her eldest son is a junior at Texas A&M University and is studying Aerospace Engineering and her youngest son is in 6th grade. She recently moved back to California to be with her family.

She’s really excited about the opportunity to work with the students at SHS. The reason she chose our school is because of the opportunity to give back to the community she grew up in and to advise students as they pursue their interests. She said that the best part of her job is building relationships with students as they grow and learn.

Tara Hopkins

Advisor

Tara Hopkins was born and raised in Placerville. She graduated from Ponderosa High School and then moved to San Diego to go to college. With her degree in Social Science from University of California San Diego she decided to get her teaching credentials and move back home to be with her family. After teaching at Ponderosa last year Tara transferred to Shenandoah because she believes in the idea of "One Student at A Time" In addition, Tara likes the more personal, and individualized learning experience. Tara is soon to be married to another Ponderosa graduate and loves the hospitality of El Dorado County. She couldn’t image living or working anywhere else. Tara's favorite quote is "Be The Change You Want" – Anonymous.

Scott Clifton

Advisor

Scott received his B.A. in Mathematics with an emphasis in secondary teaching as well as his teaching credential from Sonoma State University. After completing his student teaching in his hometown of Roseville he moved up to El Dorado County to join the Shenandoah Family.

He is very excited to be a part of such a wonderful school and to be able to help students learn about and find their passions. He believes that Shenandoah is a truly unique environment which allows students to receive individual instruction and build lasting relationships with their peers.

Breanne Holland

Advisor

Breanne moved to Folsom, California in 1995 from Washington State. She attended Folsom Middle and High Schools and gained a wide variety of collegiate experience at CSU Chico, Folsom Lake College, and CSU Sacramento. Breanne ultimately graduated with her B.A. in English from Sacramento State, with an emphasis on teaching. She is currently working toward her credential through National University. Breanne has a sixteen month old daughter, Grace, who is her inspiration for smiling every day.

Breanne is ecstatic at being selected to join the Shenandoah team. Though new to the self-directed learning format, she has embraced it fully. The students at Shenandoah are amazing, inspiring, and challenge Breanne to be the best advisor she can be. Breanne is excited to see the first round of Exhibitions as she watches her students’ progress in their projects. One of the best things Breanne has found about Shenandoah is the considerable involvement of parents; she looks forward to meeting all of you!
