Welcome to a new school year! This year is already well underway; our first round of exhibitions is right around the corner starting October 20th. It is always an exciting and challenging time of year, but one that is eagerly anticipated. Before we know it this year’s seniors will be graduating and summer will be here again! We have been through many changes in staff this year, with all new advisors and a lead teacher in charge, but our new staff members are bringing fresh perspectives and energy to our campus. Shenandoah is doing great! The students are hard at work and creating rigorous, relevant work that makes a difference! Senior Thesis projects are coming along with students focusing on creating poetry groups to help other students gain confidence in themselves, students creating a digital media lab program, students implementing a peer tutoring program. Internships are happening throughout the community at a variety of local businesses.
